“Old-School” Task Switcher Is Waiting For You!

Hot PC Tips - Did you KnowMost people are aware that, with recent versions of Windows, you can use the Alt + Tab keyboard sequence to quickly switch between open programs, and the desktop. This version of the task switcher uses more resources since it presents a visual image of each window.  This often appears something like this:

But did you know that the classic Windows XP-style task switching utility is still available, even if you are using the latest versions of Windows (7 or 8.x)?

To access the traditional task switcher, just hold one Alt button, press and release the other Alt button, and while still holding the first Alt button, press the Tab key to cycle through the open applications. It functions just like it did in the “gool old days” AKA 2001.  This task switching utility appears in a simpler form, something like this:Hot PC Tips -

If your graphic resources are limited, or you just prefer the old version, it is nice to find that the traditional task switcher is still there, silently waiting for you!
